The Sky is the Limit by Alicia Beyer for the Winter 2017 issue of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Everyone has their own ways of being entertained. Some people love to read, while others enjoy watching movies. We all have our own ways to indulge ourselves with something we love to help time passed by. For me, it is the sky. The sky was my own entertainment. The sky is the way me and my friends could spend time together, while doing something free. There was nothing I loved more this past summer than hanging out to watch the beautiful summer sunset. In fact, it was probably how I spent most of my summer. Watching the sky. After thunderstorms, during sunsets and even an early sunrise. What was especially cool this past summer was the solar eclipse. It was obviously a well-known event, and personally I thought there was nothing cooler than a crowd over a thousand people getting together at the community college to watch it. What I find the most entertaining about the sky is that we all look up at the same sky. We could be looking at the same sunset at Tyler State Park as you are looking at somewhere else. Everyone could see the same shades of purple, but we could all be seeing completely different things. The last thing that is the most intriguing to me about the sky is we all have so many different stories and lives under the same big sky. To me that’s amazing. We are all so different, and yet we all share the same big beautiful sky.
