Aubrey Beck - Florida Nomination by Lynn Beck Photography by DARRIS HARTMAN PHOTOGRAPHY Issue 51 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Aubrey Beck inspires every day with her work ethic, sense of humor, and faith in God. Aubrey is a senior at Choctawhatchee High School where is an Indian Princess Warrior Equine Mascot. She is in advanced placement classes and is in National Honor Society along with several clubs. She was the recipient of a Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Student Leadership scholarship. She is a competitive dancer. She enjoys horseback riding and trick riding. She has a kind heart and often volunteers with different organizations such as the Bob Hope Village. She recently completed her PADI scuba diving certification.
What should we know about you? I have been a competitive dancer for many years and I have one several awards. Because of this, I have learned all about integrity, team work, and pursuit. I have also been a bee keeper since I was eleven years sold, and I have been riding horses for as long as I can remember.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I have a huge heart for animals with special needs, or panic disorders. My greyhound mix, Sadie, is very frightened of men and children. However, in the few months that I have had her, she has come such a long way. I also have two rescue horses, and we are looking for another one. One of our horses, Hammer, was our Choctaw Indian mascot.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? If I were to present a topic to my peers, I would tell them how important it is to me to rescue animals that need help, and how we need more organizations that foster animals rather than keeping them in cages as they patiently wait to be adopted.
