Carli Stotlar – Indiana Nomination & Photography by Hayden Burns Photography Issue 50 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Carli Stotlar is one amazing girl. She has been through a lot with bullying at school, Ulcerative Colitis and CRPS. I was going through a rough time in my personal life and she reached out to me and told me that she was praying for me and loved me. It meant the world to me to know that someone her age has such a big heart and a strong faith. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out. I want her to know that she is special and that girls like her don’t come along very often. She inspires me to be a better person.
What would you most like to be interviewed about? I would most like to be interviewed about how I have impacted the life’s of the people around me. I feel that you should definitely know that I am a very bright spirit and try to uplift everyone around me.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? Things I do not think my nomination covers are that I work with specials needs students and apply my extra time doing community work. I work at Newburgh Tumbling as a Gym Lead, Coach of Cheer and Gymnastics, and also Lead Instructor. I also cheer for Castle High School. I am in Peer tutor, National Honor Society, Pep club, and Key club. I love helping everyone when I can because I know everyone can always use an extra compliment or smile. I plan to attend Murray State and study medicine to become a Nurse Practitioner.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? I would talk about mental health. It is such a huge thing in my life and so many others. Most people do not realize how little things affect people’s moods, but it could really set off their whole day. Being nice is just the decent thing to do. Mental health should always be put first and I feel should be more normal to talk about. It is something that everyone has to find a common ground with and it is not something people should be ashamed of.
