Grace Regan - Washington Interview by Olivia Bush Nomination by Dena Regan Photography by Melisha Issue 35 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
The Nomination: Over the past few years I have watched my daughter grow into a very courageous young lady. She has inspired students around her to spread positivity and become involved in random acts of kindness. She is involved with her church as well as getting individuals to join her in that as well. With all the events and incidents happening right now somehow she was able to find a good thing during it all! Her teachers appreciated it a lot and it made a difference in their lives. Her aim is to reach as many teachers as possible. I cannot believe that she put herself out there like that without a second thought just to make someone else happy!

What have you done to help you teachers through the pandemic? How did you get the idea? I made a video explaining how grateful us students are for them! I was just a little fed up with negative things happening in this world and around me so I decided to do something positive for people that were helping me!
What is your goal for this project? Where do you want it to go? My goal is to make teachers know that they are appreciated! I would like it to be seen nationwide and reach as many teachers as possible!
What do you love about working with special needs children? They have taught me to be brave. I love working with these kids because of their courage. These kids are different from others, but they still show up with a smile no matter what. That takes bravery and courage and I look up to those kids!
How long have you been involved with your church and what do you do there? I have been involved with my church for about 4 years now. I spread the word about joining our youth group and just bring more and more friends.

3 Things on your bucket list 1. Donate to a children’s hospital. 2. Get a great dane and a boston terrier. 3. Meet Shawn Mendes.
Who do you find inspiring? Being able to be vulnerable in front of people and speaking about the things that make you uncomfortable or scared in front of others.
What about you inspires others/why do you think you are inspiring? I have been told many people like how positive I am during tough times and how I take challenges on. I think it’s important to see someone young speak out about things and be vulnerable so that others become more comfortable with doing that and I think I do a pretty good job at that!
Anything else you’d like to tell us? Thank you for this opportunity!!
