Liam Brown – Ohio Interview by Inspiring Teens Nomination by Zac Brown Photography by Hummingbird Photography Issue 42 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
The Nomination: Liam Brown inspires me all the time, from his insane weight loss of 90 pounds to his humor that is unmatched. Liam never fails to put a smile on my face, it’s a ray of sunshine everywhere he goes.
Over the past 11 months I’ve been able to drop 90 pounds with help from my parents who never broke hope in me and stood by me the whole journey, and from my baseball coach Dennis Woods who motivated me and drove me to be the best man I can be. I learned from my idol David Goggins “we all have the ability to come from nothing to something.”
What I learned from bullies and people who want to bring you down is that they are jealous, and they can see that you have potential to be something great one day. I can say that I would like to thank the people who made fun of me and doubted me, because that is what prompted me to do what I did. It wasn’t easy and man it wasn’t fun.
I became a competitive bass fisherman because I love the outdoors, and the last memories I have with my grandpa. I can always remember us fishing and just his laugh and smile when he would catch fish after fish, and we would catch absolutely nothing.
I see myself in 5 years in a career path of forestry or criminal justice.
The advice I can give someone who wants to be where I'm at is “ Never give up, you might not get the results you want in a month or two, but don't stop grinding. Gods got a plan for everyone. Lastly is that we are all different and unique in our own ways so embrace your uniqueness, nobody’s the same.”
