Nomination by Torie Lavoie: Whitney has been an inspiring young girl as long as I can remember. She has had heavy life challenges, including her daddy’s death at a young age and her brother's brave battle with cancer, yet always remained positive and someone to look up to. Since her brother's remission she has focused on raising money for patients going through cancer. Watching her turn negatives into positives is something I continually look forward to. Now, as Whitney is entering her sophomore year in high school she is also competing for Teen Maine and hoping to continue to inspire young girls to be empowered!

Inspiring Teens is one of our "by teens for teens" productions to celebrate teens doing amazing things with their lives – such as the teen listed above!
Each vote is $5.00 and goes towards our scholarships and magazine production, leadership programs, awards, prizes, and other fun stuff that are included for the teens who participate in our fundraising and magazine endeavors. It also goes towards nonprofits as our extra profits allow.
Since 2019, we have given away over $105,000 in scholarships!

*Teens must be between ages 13-19 to win a scholarship and cannot win more than $1000 in a year's time.
