Nomination: Isabella is an inspiring teen because she demonstrates dedication, kindness and leadership in everything she does. Being committed to cheer since the age of 5 shows her perseverance, hard work and passion for her craft. Beyond her athletic dedication Isabella's selflessness shines through how she always helps out her younger sibling showing maturity and a strong sense of family responsibility. Her friends admire her for her kindness and generosity, as she consistently supports those around her, making her a role model. With her down to earth and hometown vibes she has a sweetness and levity that is hard to beat!
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover?
I always keep a positive attitude through hardships. I am responsible for my age, and I work hard in school. I am great with kids and aspire to be a teacher.
What else would you like to talk about?
I would like to add that I have goals of becoming a preschool teacher. I love children and seeing how they learn through creativity. I know personally how important a great teacher can be. I still have a close relationship with my preschool teacher who went above and beyond while teaching. Living in a small town she has taught many generations of students, paving their way to success and I hope to follow in her shoes one day.
What do you feel passionate about or could talk about forever?
Cheer has been a very big part of my life since the age of five and has become my passion. Cheer has taught me to conquer my fears and put in my all. When you learn a new skill, you practice and improve. During one of my cheer seasons, I sprained both my ankles, but I didn't let that stop me. I pushed forward. I focused on learning new skills and trying things I was scared of. My last year of youth cheer was challenging but I pushed through with my team, and we finished the season successfully.
How did you find your photographer? What was your experience like? What did you love most?
My photographer is a local to Bishop where I live. He has photographed for the local sports teams, families and friends. My experience was comfortable and easy going. I loved the location of my photos!
Why do you want to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine?
I want to inspire other teens to be comfortable with who they are, and I want to earn money for my future.
What is a favorite memory with or thoughts of the person who nominated you?
My favorite memory of my mom, who nominated me, was when my dad had to work in Texas, and we decided to do an all-girls camping trip. I've grown up spending days, weekends and summers at Millpond. My sisters, mom, grandma and I had a ton of fun. We made smores, listened to music, swam at the pond, played baseball and sat by the fire. We spent the whole weekend together.
