K'Lynn Garcia – Texas
Nomination by K'Dee Jackson

.
Nomination: K'Lynn is a truly impressive individual who exhibits remarkable academic ability and a strong work ethic. As a straight-A student ranked at the top of her class, she will obtain certification as a registered CNA at 17 years old upon completing her junior year in high school. Her drive and commitment to a career in medicine are highly inspiring, and I look forward to seeing her future achievements.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover?
Some inspiring things about me that my nomination does not cover include, for starters, I will be going to state for Congressional Debate early next year. I also have a passion for helping others which is why I want to pursue in the medical route. I often used to go with my Nana to the nursing home she worked at and would play bingo and talk to all of the residents which is where my love for the medical field started.
What else would you like to talk about?
I would also like to talk about the simple yet popular saying, "follow your dreams." Sometimes when an adult tells a teen to follow their dreams, it does not really stick with the teen like anticipated. There are many reasons for this but coming from a teen myself, this idea in general of following your dreams is so much more than a saying. When you break the sentence up and truly think about it word for word, it not only will make more sense but it will also mean so much more to you than just a saying.
What do you feel passionate about or could talk about forever?
I am passionate about many things but deep down I am truly passionate about modeling and fashion. I talk about it all the time with my mom and will find any reason to dress up and take pictures.
How did you find your photographer? What was your experience like? What did you love most?
I found my photographer through a group on social media. She was amazing and did such a good job. I have always aspired to be a model so I love dressing up and taking pictures. So if I am being honest I loved the entire process of it, from getting all dressed up to taking the pictures themselves.
Why do you want to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine?
I want to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine because as a teen, it can sometimes be hard to feel inspired, but there is something about seeing someone your age do amazing things. It is almost like it just lights a spark in people, especially me. With that, I hope I can be that person for someone in Inspiring Teens Magazine, even if it is just a single person because sometimes something so little as seeing someone in a magazine with a little information about them can truly change someone's life.
What is a favorite memory with or thoughts of the person who nominated you?
The thoughts I have about my mom all summarize into how truly amazing she is. She is a hard worker and is always doing her best for herself and others. My mom most definitely has been one of my biggest inspirations growing up and I believe she is a big part of the reason I am the person I am today.
