Ansley Strait – Kentucky
Nomination & Photography by Krystal Klear Photography
.
Nomination: Ansley Strait hasn't wasted any time in pursuit of her dreams! She is a high school senior and a newly certified CNA. Obtaining her CNA license has been a huge stepping stone in her journey towards her career in the medical field. She hopes to become a registered nurse. She has been able to balance her studies and gain hands-on experience by working at the local hospital. She also maintains a 4.25 GPA. This experience has further motivated her towards her future goals. Her compassion and commitment to her dreams is inspiring to everyone that meets her.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover?
My love of travel has also been an inspiration in shaping my future career plans. I have been fortunate to travel abroad and I have visited eleven countries. It has been an eye-opening experience to see other areas of the world and the struggles and needs that they face. Nurses serve the world and help to improve the quality of life for all. I hope to make a significant impact on the lives of others and I have no doubt that it will be a rewarding career!
What else would you like to talk about?
I would also like to mention that my Christian faith has been instrumental in shaping my core values. I have a strong desire to help others and have been able to assist with community needs through my church youth group. I have volunteered at Need Line and packed meals for those less fortunate in the community. I have also assisted in making bunk beds and packing flood buckets. Being a member of my church youth group has allowed me to serve those in need in my own community.
What do you feel passionate about or could talk about forever?
I am very passionate about traveling! I feel that it has helped me build essential life skills and confidence in my ability to solve unique problems. It has helped me to develop cultural knowledge and enhanced my communication skills. Navigating new cities has tried my patience, but helped me practice strategic thinking in real-life situations. I can definitely say that my confidence grows with each journey and my ability to adapt in unfamiliar or unpredictable circumstances. These will all be valuable tools in the nursing field.
How did you find your photographer? What was your experience like? What did you love most?
Krystal Klear Photography was a “no-brainer” when it came to scheduling my senior photos. My older siblings used Krystal and I was excited to see what unique ideas she would have for me! She tailors the photos to each individual and their particular interests. She also allowed me to use my own creativity and ideas. I am a pretty quiet and shy person, but she made me feel comfortable and confident. This really helped show my true personality in the photos!
What is a favorite memory with or thoughts of the person who nominated you?
My favorite memory of my session with Krystal was going out to the airplane hangar and seeing how she turned a bland canvas into some magical moments! We had a pretty great sunset to work with that day too!
Why do you want to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine?
I would love to have a platform to share my career goals and how they developed over the years!
If you win a scholarship, what will you do with the money?
I plan to attend Western Kentucky University in the Fall of 2025, and major in Nursing.
