Issue 34 of Inspiring Teens Magazine

The Nomination: Rachel Liazos is inspirational because of her dedication to her sport, Softball. Rachel was diagnosed with a stress fracture in her back during middle school. She was confined to a back brace 23 hours a day. This injury took Rachel out of the game for several years. Rachel cheered on her team from the bench for hundreds of games, unsure if she could ever join her teammates ever again. Through hundreds of hours in the gym, on the field with coaches, Rachel was able to return to softball and will be playing at the collegiate level next year.
