​The nomination: Mackenzie was just like any other person you knew at school or had a few classes with, and then one day she woke up to her life completely flipped around. She had to take on responsibility that a lot of other teens could not handle. And she proved to everyone that she could do it. With all she has dealt with in her life, she is still the humblest person I know. She always helps others even if she does not know then at all. She would give her last bit she had to help out someone in need. She has a huge heart.

​The Nomination: Jordan Kayla Patterson is a hard worker. Even during tough times she still manages to push through. I am Jordan’s best friend and she always talks about how she would love to attend the university of Louisville for nursing. She would love the opportunity to be able to help people and she is open minded to many ideas. She has also participated in a fashion marketing class that hosted a fashion show. Her class chose her as the leader because Jordan has great communication skills & plans very well.
