Service Projects

Carleigh Kleiss - Tuscola, Illinois
Carleigh Kleiss, an Inspiring Teen in issue 46 of Inspiring Teens Magazine from Tuscola, Illinois accepted the Inspire Team teen service challenge. Share-The-Love is a donation drive where people could donate money for the Douglas County Animal Shelter. This is a very well known shelter in her area, and they used the proceeds of $185 to go to Walmart and buy treats, toys, food, and bleach. She was accompanied by Bob Kleiss, Rebecca Brusatte, and Chloe Lee. She is a huge animal lover, and this felt like a very important thing to do. The owner of the Douglas County Animal Shelter was very grateful, and the animals were just as excited as these teens were to help their community.

Brittany Adams - Chardon, Ohio
Brittany Adams, an Inspiring Teen in issue 46 of Inspiring Teens Magazine from Chardon, Ohio accepted the Inspire Team teen service challenge.
In conjunction with Greener Fields 4-H club, Brittany has been collecting donations for The Geauga Hunger Task Force Food Banks all throughout Geauga county. They have partnered with Dr Augustine Kellis, so any money donations will be doubled and any food donations will be counted as 50 cents. Their overall goal is to help prevent hunger in Geauga County and hopefully reach $10,000 in donations!!

Erica Duffy - Richland Washington
Erica Duffy, an Inspiring Teen in issue 46 of Inspiring Teens Magazine from Richland, WA, accepted the Inspire Team teen service challenge. Along with her, the Hanford High School Spanish Club had a meeting to coordinate a volunteer project at the Downtown Pasco Farmers Market. They were able to meet native speakers and help set up and tear down the market and activities. They even fit in a game of Lotería, which is a Spanish board game like Bingo.

This month’s service project is being led by Inspire Team Member Charlotte Stant from New Jersey.
The project is to help feed the hungry for the holidays.

Charlotte Stant - These are some photos from my nonprofit’s Thanksgiving event! We were able to a provide 64 families with 2 weeks’ worth of food and a Thanksgiving meal, which was incredible. All these photographs were taken by my photographer Jennifer Morris.
Picture
Kylie Sandberg - I’m a part of the York County Youth Commission which serves as a communications link between the youth of York County and the Board of Supervisors by researching and presenting student issues, problems, needs, ideas and suggestions. The YCYC also makes recommendations regarding programs provided to youth, and participates in their establishment when appropriate. Service on the YCYC increases members’ knowledge of local government and provides opportunities for leadership skills development and close teamwork with other students from across the county. As a Youth commission we participated in the Mayflower Marathon food drive on Sunday November 22 and collected over 20 turkeys, over 100lb of non-perishable food items, and collected over $300 just in 3 hours! Service Projects

Jazlyn Yanssens is leading the service project this month, which is positivity. With so much crazy going on right now, the Inspire Team thought it would be a good time to find some goodness out there.
