Catherine Hoff – Texas
Nomination & Photography by Olivia Henry Photography
Issue 100 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Catherine is such an inspiring teen with the kindest heart and a passion for so many things. She stays busy with sports, Dual credit classes, clinicals at the hospital, church and volunteer work, 4H, creative hobbies and even works two jobs, all while being a light to the people around her!
What inspiring qualities or accomplishments weren’t highlighted in your nomination?
Some inspiring qualities and accomplishments that weren't highlighted in my nomination were: I am CPR and CNA (Certified Nursing Aid) certified while also currently taking courses to become a PCT (Patient Care Technician). I am in many sports such as volleyball, cheerleading, golf, and softball. Along with these, I also paint and bake. Baking and painting are just a few of my hobbies but these aren't just hobbies. I have auctioned off a few of my masterpieces as well as my baked goods.
What current goals and/or projects are you working on now?
A current project that I am working on is to obtain my PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification. I am also working to accomplish my goal of growing in my faith and becoming more like a Proverbs 31 woman. My current goals for my future are to become a trauma surgeon, get married, have many beautiful children, and live on a ranch that my husband and I built from the ground up.
What do you feel passionate about or could talk about forever?
Something I am very passionate about is my Bible. I could talk about my Bible and Jesus all day! I love Jesus and I am so thankful that I know him and I pray that everyone gets the chance to know him and feel his presence. Jesus died on the cross for us so that we may live for him!
How did you find your photographer and what did you love most about the experience?
How I found my photographer (Olivia Henry) was through instagram. I have always talked about wanting to be a part of a Senior Rep Modeling Team, and Olivia was the first one that came up on my feed. I looked into her and at all of her amazing pictures on her page and quickly realized she was the one I wanted to take my pictures. I 100% recommend joining one of her amazing teams or getting pictures taken by her! She is amazing and she walks you through everything while making you feel so confident!
What is a favorite memory with or thoughts of the person who nominated you?
The person that nominated me was my photographer, Olivia Henry. Olivia makes me feel so confident! I am usually not very good in front of a camera but when she was on the other side of it, I felt like a model. As she takes pictures she throws compliments left and right, making us feel so good about ourselves. Her pictures also look natural and don't look airbrushed. I love getting my pictures back and I still look like myself while also looking so much more confident. She is amazing!
Why do you want to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine?
I would love the opportunity to be in the inspiring teens magazine because I have always dreamed of being a model and this is really close to meeting that dream. I also love the idea behind this magazine because it's all about potential and creativity. This is an amazing opportunity that I really hope to be a part of.
If you win a scholarship, what will you do with the money?
If I win a scholarship from this amazing opportunity the money would go straight to my college. If I have scholarship money left over from a semester then I will invest that money in the money market so that I could make more money for the next semester. My ultimate goal is to become a trauma surgeon. I will be paying for my college on my own and I am hoping to obtain enough scholarships to be able to afford it.
