Nomination & Photography by Maia Burchell Photography

Nomination: Cara Ray Wilder is a Junior Model for Maia Burchell Photography and a member of Delta Omega Sorority. She intends to go to the University of South Alabama to study Elementary Education. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, babysitting, and being active in her sorority.

What other inspiring qualities, achievements, or experiences about you, not mentioned in your nomination, would you like readers to know about?

I was a cheerleader at my school for 3 years. I loved the friendships and fellowship that opportunity provided. I was on the honor roll last year and also received an award for my science class.

What goals, dreams, or projects are you currently working toward right now?

At the moment, I'm working towards college. I'm going to be a dual enrollment student this fall semester. Volunteering is also meaningful to me.

What could talk about for hours, and why does it matter so much to you?

Family is important to me. I have an older brother and younger brother, along with a younger sister. Being a part of a bigger family has its challenges, but it has taught me compassion and patience.

What is something you have learned about yourself as a leader or influencer in the past year?

I've learned that good character is essential. Being a member of Delta-O has shown me that younger girls look for guidance, and it is important to me to set a good example.

What is one of your favorite memories with the person who nominated you, or something about them that means a lot to you?

I'm honored to be nominated by Maia. I wanted to do something different, so we did sweet sixteen photos this summer. She was so creative with the poses and props, - the entire experience was exciting.

Tell us about the person who took your photo — how did you connect, and what was that experience like?

Maia has taken my photos for years. She always captures authentic moments for both my family and individual photos. Taking photos with her feels fun and is something I look forward to.
