Nomination: Loralie Woodrick is the kind of person everyone loves to be around. She is genuinely kind and sweet, always has a smile on her face, and her laugh is absolutely infectious. She proudly cheers for her hometown football team and is an incredible role model for her younger siblings. Loralie plans to pursue a career in early childhood, and I have no doubt the children lucky enough to have her will adore her. As her photographer, she made my job effortless - her personality and warmth came through in every image. She truly deserves this opportunity.
What other inspiring qualities, achievements, or experiences about you, not mentioned in your nomination, would you like readers to know about?
Nothing else. My photographer hit a lot of my accomplishments
What goals, dreams, or projects are you currently working toward right now?
Some goals I am working towards is becoming an elementary school teacher and I currently work at a daycare.
What could talk about for hours, and why does it matter so much to you?
I could talk about a lot of things but right now if someone mentioned my dad or what my future would look like that is what I could go on for hours about. Those matter so much to me because my dad was one of my biggest supporters and taught me so much. And I could talk about my future because there is so much I want to do and have plans in my head to do when I graduate this year.
What is something you have learned about yourself as a leader or influencer in the past year?
Something I have learned about myself in the last year as a leader is that sometimes you just have to watch and see how things play out before stepping in and saying something.
What is one of your favorite memories with the person who nominated you, or something about them that means a lot to you?
My favorite memory would be when we were at the farm and I was laying in an apple tree while taking pictures and started to fall but she still captured all the pictures and made them look amazing.
Tell us about the person who took your photo — how did you connect, and what was that experience like?
Caryn Dodson took my pictures and we connected because we have known her and she has helped us when we did homeschooling. The experience was great. It was simple, fun and very easy to do.
How did you first hear about Inspiring Teens Magazine? Why does being part of Inspiring Teens Magazine matter to you?
I heard about ITM through my photographer and being able to be apart of this means a lot because I am able to help her work get out to the world for everyone to see.
How will earning a scholarship through Inspiring Teens Magazine help you?
Earning a scholarship through ITM will help me towards reaching my goals after high school pursuing to become a teacher. The scholarship will help me pay for schooling.
