Nomination: I am honored to nominate Monreux for Inspiring Teen Magazine. This summer, at Elev8Escape—ElevateHer’s first ambassador retreat—I had the opportunity to witness firsthand exactly why she was chosen to represent our brand.

Monreux is the kind of person who notices others. She was consistently kind, uplifting, and encouraging to every girl around her. If someone seemed shy or was standing alone, Monreux was often the first to welcome her and make sure she felt included. Her ability to help others feel seen and valued is something that cannot be taught, and it left a lasting impression on me.

Beyond being a talented dancer, Monreux is a dedicated student, a wonderful sister, and an exceptional ambassador. She has also been selected to walk in New York Fashion Week for Wild Child Magazine and has appeared in several music videos. Her accomplishments are exciting, but it is her character, compassion, and natural ability to inspire others that make her truly deserving of this recognition.

As the founder of ElevateHer, I could not be prouder to have Monreux representing our community. She is truly one of our most outstanding ambassadors, and I believe she is destined for incredible success—not only because of her talent, but because of the light she brings to every room she enters.

What other inspiring qualities, achievements, or experiences about you, not mentioned in your nomination, would you like readers to know about?

I am very energetic and full of life & love to make people happy, smile & inspired!

I have done well with dance and am especially proud of my Judges Awards for Personality, but I am also doing a lot of acting & modeling and was very excited to be in several music videos the past few months, plus walking in Miami Swim Week and New York Fashion Week & being an ELITE Ambassador for Elevate Her Activewear!

Of all the opportunities you've had in dance, acting, and modeling, which experience has made you the most proud and why?

I was really proud to be featured in the Like Nastya music video and when I saw it for the first time I couldn’t believe that was actually me on the TV!!!

What was it like walking in Miami Swim Week and New York Fashion Week, and what did those experiences teach you about yourself?

Miami Swim week was so fun and gave me more confidence and took me outside of my usual comfort zone of dancing on a stage. This type of experience is very in the moment and you have to go with the flow no matter what so it taught me to just smile and keep going, no matter what!

What goals, dreams, or projects are you currently working toward right now?

I am working on making creative videos, as I love all aspects of filming and editing. I am using this year to just train & focus completely on myself, working on pure growth without competition! Plus, I have a huge passion for acting and modeling and am truly enjoying the industry! My dream is to go to a Performing Arts high school for dance & acting, then professionally dance in the commercial world!

What inspired you to take a year to focus on personal growth rather than competition, and what do you hope to gain from it?

I wanted to take a step back and just train and dance and not worry about any pressure or competition and really focus on movement quality and keep myself grounded in my pure love of dance! I am also challenging myself to try new styles and techniques in dance, specifically developing the area of control

If you could land your dream professional dance, acting, or modeling opportunity tomorrow, what would it be?

My dream job would be to go on tour as a dancer with a favorite singer or direct and dance in an amazing music video!

What could talk about for hours, and why does it matter so much to you?

I can talk about Dance for hours because it is what I feel most passionate about and I am always having new ideas, thoughts and dreams that are constantly evolving! I am a work in progress and learning new things every single day. I have such a strong desire to work hard to be the best version of myself.

What is one area of dance that has challenged you the most, and how are you working to improve it?

One of my biggest challenges is to Slow Down and just hear & feel the music and I am working to not rush through choreography and instead to take my time and savor the process!

What is something you have learned about yourself as a leader or influencer in the past year?

I have learned that I truly enjoy helping others feel more comfortable about themselves and that including the people that can tend to be left out brings happiness to my heart. I have a very outgoing personality, and I try to bring other people out of their shell and to encourage them to try things outside their comfort zone, in dance and in life! A big lesson my mom always reminds me of is to ALWAYS stay humble and to put ourselves in other people's shoes to be aware of their feelings!

Can you share a time when you helped someone come out of their shell or feel like they belonged?

I have a little sister who is one year younger than me and she often feels insecure about her friends, dance and her body and I go home and help her with choreo, learning new moves, and even her homwork. I give her a weekly pep talk to remind her how amazing she is!

What advice would you give to another teen who wants to be more confident but is afraid to step outside their comfort zone?

My advice would be to take a chance and to take baby steps! It is better to try new things than to regret not trying at all!

What is one of your favorite memories with the person who nominated you, or something about them that means a lot to you?

My favorite memory with BaiYu is a three part answer because I knew her for a year before I was fortunate to meet her in person and my favorite memory is the entire weekend, especially celebrating her birthday, doing a photo shoot together in which I felt so comfortable and our circle time, discussing our hopes and goals!!

What is one lesson or piece of encouragement from BaiYu that you know you'll carry with you into the future?

From my time with BaiYu, I carry with me the encouragment to “always be myself” and to keep believing in who I am and who I want to be.

Tell us about the person who took your photo — how did you connect, and what was that experience like?

I connected with BaiYu immediately after becoming an ambassador for Elevate Her, and it has been such an inspiring experience to work with her and to be evolving and growing together. BaiYu has made me feel "truly seen" and I feel encouraged by her support to "always be myself"! She has created an amazing sisterhood of girls through her designs and It's been such a great network to be immersed in, so focused on love and acceptance!

What has being part of the ElevateHer sisterhood taught you about supporting and empowering other girls?

Girls can be really mean and very judgemental, especially in the dance world but this sisterhood has taught me so much about unconditional love and support and what that actually looks like in real life!

That no matter your level of dance, your size, your age, I always have a home with my EH sisterhood!

How did you first hear about Inspiring Teens Magazine? Why does being part of Inspiring Teens Magazine matter to you?

I heard about the magazine from BaiYu because she was featured in the magazine a few years ago and I am grateful to be a part of Inspiring Teens to continue to pay it forward to encourage and empower my fellow peers!

How will earning a scholarship through Inspiring Teens Magazine help you?

A scholarship through Inspiring Teens Magazine would be such a tremendous help to myself and my family as dance can be very expensive and my parents are both artists and they work very hard to support my dreams. They often help do photos and videos at the studios just to offset the costs, and I am beyond grateful for the sacrifices they make for me. A scholarship would be a huge help!

What is your ideal dream job if it were offered to you today?

To be a choreographer for a famous music artist for their tour or music video and to dance on Broadway!

What made you say “yes” to the Inspiring Teens challenge, and how did you feel when you first started?

I felt nervous to enter this challenge since I am probably the youngest but I said Yes because I think the mission behind it is so awesome and inspiring, no pun intended!

What is one moment during the challenge so far that has made you feel proud or realize you were growing - in confidence, mindset, or taking action?

At first I was afraid to put myself out there and possibly fail, but seeing so many friends vote right away made me feel so special and loved!

If another teen is thinking about joining the Inspiring Teens Magazine Leadership Challenge but feels unsure, what would you tell them?

Take a chance on yourself and go for it!!

Beyond votes or placements, what are you hoping to gain from this experience—and what would make you feel truly successful at the end?

Is there anyone you'd like to thank for helping you get where you are today?

I would like to thank my mom, who is truly my rock and always by my side, and my little sister Juno who is my biggest cheerleader and best friend! I also want to thank BaiYu with all my heart for this heartfelt nomination!!

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

I am teaching myself Italian and my favorite class at school this year is culinary!

What is your favorite activity or pastime that was not in your nomination?

I LOVE to bake with my mom and my sister, and my favorite things to make are sugar cookies and blueberry coffee cake! We have so much fun in the kitchen together!

3 Things on your bucket list?

Go to Italy

Be in a Movie

Ride in a hot air balloon

Who do you find inspiring?

I am most inspired by my mom. She has been a photographer her whole life and has always run her own buisness and is the most creative, dedicated & hard working person I know, while being the best mama to her 3 children. She is the ultimate multi-tasker and the best MOMmanager to me and drives me everywhere while still making homemade meals for us every single day!

What is up next for you that you are super excited about?

This weekend I am going to NYC and I have not been back in several years and so excited to be booked for 2 fashion shows! I am also excited to be at a new studio called Stars, which has always been my dream studio to attend and I am already learning & growing SO much!!
