Nomination: Emma Price, a high school senior from Georgia, is the perfect blend of sweet country class and edgy modern sass. Kind, thoughtful, and helpful, with a huge heart. She is equally at home dressed to the nines at a formal event as she is dust covered in the rodeo arena. She is active in her community and school, working two jobs, helping around the farm, and still finding time to participate in school sports and maintain a social life. She is a blessing to all those lucky enough to have her in their life.

What other inspiring qualities, achievements, or experiences about you, not mentioned in your nomination, would you like readers to know about?
I have been selected to serve on the Farmers and Merchants Bank Junior Board. I was selected out of Forty applicants from the surrounding counties to serve on this community relations program. I have also been selected to serve as a Senior Ambassador at Gatewood Schools in Eatonton, Georgia. This program was created for high achieving seniors who embody the values of the school. As a Senior Ambassador, I give tours to incoming students and families and help with school events. I am also a member of my schools Anchor Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I participate in Varsity Volleyball as well as a Varsity Cheerleader.
What does being selected from forty applicants for the Farmers and Merchants Bank Junior Board mean to you?
To me it is a high honor to serve on the board and being a part of my community helping others.
What goals, dreams, or projects are you currently working toward right now?
My future goals are to graduate high school with honors. I have already been early accepted into two of my top colleges (Oklahoma State University and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College). I have decided to attend ABAC in the Fall of 2027 where I plan to major in Livestock Production and Agricultural Business and Marketing.
What inspired you to choose Livestock Production and Agricultural Business and Marketing as your areas of study?
Growing up on a farm and being around farm animals has always been a big part of my life. My experiences of caring for animals and seeing the hard work that goes into farming inspired me to choose Livestock Production and Agricultural Business as my area of study. I want to continue learning about the agricultural industry and use the knowledge I have gained from my background to build a future in agriculture.
What would your dream career in the agriculture industry look like after college?
I would love to have a career working with livestock and using my agricultural degree to eventually own or manage my own farm. I want to build my farm background and make a positive impact on the future female farmers of the world.
What could talk about for hours, and why does it matter so much to you?
I could talk about horses, farming and country lifestyle for hours. This lifestyle means so much to me because my family grew up competing in rodeos and farming. I like the laid back yet hard-working mentality associated with this lifestyle.
What is one lesson you've learned from growing up around farming and rodeo that you know you'll carry with you throughout your life?
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Hard work, determination, and dedication will always pay off.
What is one of your favorite memories involving horses, farming, or rodeo with your family?
I have so many memories it’s hard to just choose one. But, if I had to choose one, it would be when my stepdad taught me how to drive, operate, and work on my late grandpa’s Old Massey Ferguson 231 Tractor.
What is something you have learned about yourself as a leader or influencer in the past year?
Self-confidence to me is the number one quality in a leader. Over the years my self-confidence has grown and I'm able to help foster confidence in others. With this self-growth I have been able to improve my public speaking skills and how I carry myself in a professional environment.
What helped you build your self-confidence, and what advice would you give to another teen who is still trying to find theirs?
Be yourself. Never judge a book by its cover. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.
How do you hope to use your confidence and leadership skills to encourage other young women?
I hope to use my confidence and leadership skills to encourage other young women to believe in themselves and their abilities. I want to show them that they can be strong leaders, pursue their goals and succeed in industries like agriculture. I hope to lead by example and inspire other young women to step out of their comfort zones and never be afraid to take on new challenges.
What is one of your favorite memories with the person who nominated you, or something about them that means a lot to you?
I was nominated by Rachel Wood/Brandi Abernathy. I was selected as one of her fourteen Senior Spokesmodels of 2027. The first time I met Rachel, she welcomed us into her life of photography with open arms and enthusiasm. My first photo session with her was with the entire Spokesmodel group and it was so much fun meeting the other seniors who were selected to be spokesmodels from different schools. She took the time to make each of us young women feel beautiful and confident, she truly is your hype woman!
Brandi Abernathy is my mom. She has always been there for me. She is my biggest cheerleader and supporter, pushing me to be the best version of myself.
Tell us about the person who took your photo — how did you connect, and what was that experience like?
Rachel Wood Photography had a Senior Spokesmodel application and on a whim I applied. I was beyond excited when I found out I was selected. I have already had my senior photo shoot with her which showcases the real Emerson Price. Rachel was so much fun to work with. She had so many creative ideas and she even helped me climb a 10-foot ladder so I could take pictures on my school’s football goal post!
What has being part of Rachel's Senior Spokesmodel team added to your senior year experience?
Creating new friendships with girls from other schools and being mentors to younger girls.
How did you first hear about Inspiring Teens Magazine? Why does being part of Inspiring Teens Magazine matter to you?
I first heard about ITM when Rachel posted a picture of me leaning against my late grandfather's tractor. This picture meant so much to me because my grandfather and I had a very special relationship and this picture showcased it. Being selected to represent the ITM team means that I am a part of a legacy of young women leaders. Women leaders have the ability to foster change and create opportunities for young girls like my young sisters.
What do you hope your younger sisters learn from watching you pursue your goals and step into leadership opportunities?
I hope my younger sisters learn that they should always believe in themselves and never be afraid to chase their dreams. I want them to see that stepping into leadership opportunities can be scary, but having confidence and working hard can open so many doors.
How will earning a scholarship through Inspiring Teens Magazine help you?
Earning a scholarship from ITM will help me financially pursue my education and career goals in agriculture. It would allow me to focus more on my classes, gain valuable experiences, and take advantage of opportunities that will prepare me for a future in Livestock Production and Agricultural Business. Most importantly, receiving a scholarship would bring me one step closer to building a successful career in the industry.
Is there anyone you'd like to thank for helping you get where you are today?
I must thank all four of my parents. They have taught me so much, from working on the farm, working on cars and equipment, having the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and trying new things, working hard, being there for my community ready to help when needed. They are my biggest supporters and fans.
