Nomination: Lilly Boller is a hardworking and dedicated teen. She loves shopping, hanging out with friends, trying new things, and putting herself out there. She is very outgoing and loves meeting new people. Lilly knows how to light up a room with her smile and can always make people laugh. She is also someone who takes things seriously when she cares about them. Once she starts something, she dedicates her time to it and makes sure she finishes what she started. She doesn’t like giving up and always tries her best to get things done. Lilly is always looking for new opportunities to grow and learn.

What other inspiring qualities, achievements, or experiences about you, not mentioned in your nomination, would you like readers to know about?

I loved showing cattle and I showed for 3 years, I won American Aberdeen champion steer two years in a row. I also was on the American Junior Aberdeen board for our association.

What goals, dreams, or projects are you currently working toward right now?

One of my biggest goals right now is to become a registered nurse after highschool and eventually work in pediatrics. I’ve always liked helping people, and I think working with kids would be really rewarding. I want to be someone who can make kids feel comfortable and cared for when they’re sick or going through something difficult. I’m working toward finishing school and continuing my education so I can make that goal happen. I know it will take a lot of hard work, but I’m willing to put in the time and effort because becoming a pediatric nurse is something I really want to do.

What could talk about for hours, and why does it matter so much to you?

I could talk for hours about Alzheimer’s and dementia because my grandma recently passed away from it. It was really hard watching it affect her life, but it also took a toll on our whole family. It’s something that has become very personal to me and made me want to learn more about it.

What is something you have learned about yourself as a leader or influencer in the past year?

Being on the Junior Board has really shaped how I see myself as a leader and influencer. It has taught me how important it is to encourage younger kids, help them grow, and inspire them to get involved in the agriculture industry.

What is one of your favorite memories with the person who nominated you, or something about them that means a lot to you?

My favorite memory with my mom is when we would go to either our local grocery store or dollar general and get a tub of ice cream and some spoons and just sit in the car and eat the ice cream right out of the tub.

Tell us about the person who took your photo — how did you connect, and what was that experience like?

The person who took my photos was Hailey Harbison, and I had been following her on instagram and saw her work and I decided to reach out, the experience was super fun and enjoyable because she was so kind and did a amazing job and knew what she was doing.
