My name is Tatum Scott, and I’m in issue 65 of Inspiring Teens Magazine. For my community service project, I chose to make gift baskets for kids at Children's Hospital who have long-term illnesses. First we went shopping, and it was really fun picking out fun toys and things that the kids will enjoy. We then assembled the baskets and wrote letters to the kids. This project was a lot of fun, and I really hope that the kids love the baskets and have so much fun with all of the goodies. I chose this project because I wanted to brighten some kids' days who don't always have the best days. I want them to still be able to feel like kids even when sometimes they might not.
I did this project with 3 of my friends: Abby Allums, Dakota Garrick, and Caiden Paul. We did this project for Children's Hospital.
My name is Haley Holzworth and I am in Inspiring Teens Magazine issue 65! Today my friends Lilly, Cassie, Maria, Ezra, Landon, Abram, Kailyn, Evelyn and I went to McCormicks Creek Park and picked up trash as we walked some trails. This meant a lot to me because I frequently go hiking at McCormicks and appreciate the place as a whole. We all got really into looking for trash to the point that I fell and hurt my booty. However, we filled half a trash bag. That may seem like a small but it was worth cleaning it up!
My name is Berlyn Sharp and I’m in issue 64 of Inspiring Teens Magazine. My gymnastic teammates joined me on a visit to Paramount House Assisted Living. We delivered roses, balloons, smiles, and most importantly a listening ear. I’m the Adopt a Grandparent youth ambassador, I love these residents with my whole heart. Yolanda wanted to take a picture saying “I love you” in sign language. She use to be an ASL teacher. The best part about today was when my teammate said to make sure I let them know the next time I visit so they can come along.
My name is Allie Mathis and I'll be featured in issue 64 of Inspiring Teen Magazine. I decided to help our high school baseball team clean up for season opener. We cleaned and painted locker room. Cleaned up field and bathrooms and painted light poles outside. Our community and school do a lot for us so what better way to give back than to help it look beautiful! I asked Eathen Sumner, Charlie Harbin, Coach Dennis and Colby Hall to help. It took 2 days to complete this project, but we had a great time.
