Nomination: Jasmine Perez is a kind-hearted, hardworking teen. She is a cowgirl at heart who loves animals and enjoys riding and roping with her horse. She also helps her Papa brand and sell his cattle from his ranch. In addition, Jasmine is a straight A student at Mountain Empire High School and is the captain of her JV volleyball team. What should we definitely know about you? My love for horses; I have been raised as a country girl and love working with my horse. My grandfather is a farrier and has taught me everything I know. I enjoy riding and roping with my sister and grandfather on the weekends.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I am a freshman in high school and love to be social. I am a very loyal and dedicated friend. I am also the JV volleyball captain and play as a swing player on our Varsity volleyball team as well. In addition, this is my first year being involved in FFA and my second year being in photography.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be on and why? I would present the topic of horses. I have been raised out in the country and have been involved in my grandfather's ranch since I was a baby. I love to care for horses, brand cattle, feed livestock, ride and rope on my horse, and so forth. I have a huge love for animals in general, but particularly love horses.
