My Tween Style
My Style by Paige Ross | Issue One of iTi STYLE Magazine
I would describe my style as comfortable, colorful, and trendy. I do not like to shop by brand names, rather I look in many different stores for items that interest me. Although, if I had to name my favorite stores, I would choose H&M, Hollister, and Target.
Most importantly, I prefer my clothes to be comfortable. For example, I like Under Armour and Nike because they design clothes that are loose fitting. These brands offer t-shirts, sweatshirts, and shorts that are simple and are not covered in busy words and patterns. You would most likely find me wearing comfortable and casual clothes to school. I even get comfortable down to my feet by wearing slides, flip flops, and sneakers.
Although I wear black and white every now and then, I prefer my clothes to be colorful. Some of my favorite colors include blue, pink, and purple. Wearing bright colors puts me in a good mood when it is raining or I am feeling tired. It is never a bad idea to mix and match colors, but I don’t get too crazy. I even make sure that my make-up has a pop of color to go with my outfit.
When I think of trendy, I think of items that follow what is currently popular with a lot of people. Some trendy clothes that you can find in my closet are t-shirt dresses and anything that contains the brand names Pink, Hollister, or American Eagle. Accessorizing your outfits with a choker or a pair of sunglasses can also put you in the trendy category. Another trend that I like is putting my hair in a messy bun or giving my long hair some loose curls.
My style is unique from others, mainly due to my petite frame. My size limits the selection of items from my mature style preferences and forces me to get creative to achieve the look that I desire. I have learned that it is still possible to get items that are comfortable, colorful, and trendy no matter what size you are.
