Allie Ingram – North Carolina Nomination by Lindsey Baxter Cooler. Photography by Delaney Musgrave. Issue 51 of Inspiring Teens Magazine.
Nomination: Allie Ingram is a child of God. Her faith is unlike any others I have ever seen with a teen of her age. Not only is she mature in her faith, but she is an amazing role model to my 9 year old and all others that cross her path. She has been an advocate for anti bullying and inclusion in her community and has been able to donate 9 Buddy Benches to elementary schools along the east coast! She is a champion for those who feel they have no voice!
What else should we definitely know about you? I am the current 2021 International United Miss Junior Teen. I would love for you to know that no matter what I am doing in life, I am trying my best to stand up for what I believe in, and inspire those around me to do the same. My strong faith comes from the values my family has instilled in me, along with the idea that I need to be the friend that I want to have! Whether it’s working with the inclusion project, “The Buddy Bench,” or simply posting Bible verses on social media, I want others my age to see my strong opinions and not be afraid to share theirs as well!
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? Another important aspect of my life is school! I am very studious and am proud to say I currently have a 4.3 GPA. I take school very seriously because I love to challenge myself in order to grow. Knowledge is power, therefore by applying myself at school, I can grow in my knowledge and ability to relate to others. I also enjoy being a mentor to those around me, and my school provides me with a wide variety of people to interact with and impact in a positive way.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be on and why? Something I could talk about for hours is the importance of inclusion! I feel that it is often an overlooked aspect of our social lives, especially as teens. However, I feel that as teens, we are just now figuring out who we will be in the future. I think that by including others and making sure everyone feels loved and valued, it will help not only those being included, but also the person who was brave and selfless enough to reach out to that person!
