Ansley Gibson -Georgia Nomination by Shannon Gibson Photography by Amy Honea Photography Issue 55 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Ansley is such an inspiration to younger female athletes. When assisting in coaching or helping with a youth clinic she males makes sure they learn how to have fun and how to love the game, but really shows them how to have great work ethic. Ansley teaches the young female athletes that you have to work hard and never give up just because something maybe difficult. Ansley works hard to show young girls you can achieve your goals on and off the field if you put in the work. Ansley inspires me as her mother to be better by being such a great role model for young female athletes.
What should we definitely know about you? If there is one thing I would like for people to know about me is my heart and my caring for others. I often put others before myself and love to see the people I care about succeed. The people I love are the most important to me and I will always put them before myself.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I believe a main point that isn’t covered in my nomination is how determined I am. I have played the sport of softball for as long as I can remember and is a very important part of my life. Throughout the sport there has been many ups and downs, but thankfully due to my determination I always come out the other side. Softball has shaped me into the person I am today and I’m so thankful.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be I am very passionate about sport’s and how it can affect a young child’s growth. A child growing up through sports can allow them to learn and experience things that you don’t see in your daily life. Playing a sport you can learn a lot more than just the sport, you can also learn many life lessons.
