Chase Jones – Indiana Nomination & Photography by Photos by Felisha Issue 66 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Chase Jones is a Senior at Tecumseh High School where he has excelled in three sports over the last four years. Chase has won player of the week and also player of the year. Chase has had several set backs along his high school journey. Loosing a father his Sophomore year, and being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes his Junior year. Chase inspires so many with his drive and determination.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I live by the quote improvise, adapt, and overcome. I have had to do these things many times in my life. I first experienced this in 2017 when my dad had passed away. I first had to improvise to this tragic accident then I adapted and finally overcame this. Recently I got the news I am a type 1 diabetic and have had to do the same thing. It is something great to live by and I will encourage others to do so.
What else would you like to talk about? I am a 3 sport athlete at Tecumseh High School and have been varsity on all sports for 4 years. I thrive to be a leader in and out of athletics. I lead by example and fix whatever people need help with.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? It would be about leadership and how it plays such an important role on people’s lives.
