Emily Collins - Maine Nomination by Linda Austin Photography by Studio by the pond Issue 43 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
The Nomination: Emily Collins is always motivating people to be their best version of themselves and is a cheerful bright young girl who is trying her best to become a model and help girls love themselves the way they are. What would you most like to be interviewed about? Who I am and about my life struggles.
Who are you? I am a 17 year old girl who has struggled through a lot growing up with being bullied on how I looked as a kid. I didn’t grow up with a dad my mother and family were the ones to raise me. I have a very small circle of friends that I cherish. I keep to myself most of the time because I’m not very outgoing when I don’t know you, but can be very funny and loud when I’m comfortable. I have learned to love myself and the way I am now.
How would your friends describe you? When you get to know me, I’m funny, loud, inspiring, motivated, and honest.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be on and why? How to feel beautiful in your own body and love yourself more because I want every girl to feel beautiful and not let words define how they feel about themselves.
How do you help others feel beautiful about themselves? I appreciate them and comfort them when they are down telling them that everyone is different and that is what makes them beautiful.
What is one of your favorite self-love activities? Taking time to appreciate myself and think about all the things I’m good at and taking pictures of myself to make me feel good in my body.
What do you love most about the modeling you have done so far? It makes me feel beautiful and I love getting to dress up and feel pretty about myself. I want to share with others that they can have pictures like that too because they will always be beautiful.
