Nomination: Emma Smith is bright, bold and beautiful. Emma is a senior at Shelbyville High School. She is driven and outgoing. Emma goes to school full time, works part time at Wal-Mart where she always greets you with a smile! Emma wants to continue her education at Ball State University and study Zoology. I have watched Emma grow up just a few doors down from my parents and she is just an absolute joy to be around.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I always strive to make everyone feel special. Treating people with love and kindness is what I’m powers me to continue to make my impact. Putting a smile on someone’s face is always my proudest moments.
What would you most like to talk about in your interview? I would like to talk about my trip in Costa Rica earlier this year. This trip inspired me in so many ways but most importantly, it encouraged me to really want to go to college and pursue my dreams.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? Something I could talk about forever is my love for animals and marine life. It’s something I’ve been passionate about ever since I was a little girl. I feel very grateful to to have a love for such a beautiful world.
