Hope Boer – California Nomination & Photography by JAM Photography Studio Issue 65 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Hope is a fun-loving, energetic young lady who is involved with many extracurricular activities. She's the leader of the Voices of the Pack choir's soprano section, a member of the all-girls robotic team, and an Ohana Nani Nui dancer at her high school. Outside of school, she's a member of her church's choir and assists with Sunday School. Hope loves math and science and plans to study Environmental Engineering in college. I know Hope is going to do amazing things in life. It's been a pleasure to watch her grow into a fantastic young lady.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? Another inspiring thing about me is my love for music. I have been a part of musical theater for nine years, taken dance and voice lessons, and been involved in my school's choir for four years. Music has been a huge passion of mine and I plan to continue to incorporate it into my life, whether that be as a career or recreation.
What else would you like to talk about? I would like to talk about my wonderful family; my mom, dad, brother, and two cats. These people, and animals, have shaped me into the person I am today and I love them with my whole heart. My parents have taught me to try my best in everything I do and encouraged me to work hard to achieve my goals. My brother is my best friend and has continuously brought joy to my life when I needed it most. I love them dearly!
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? As someone who loves jump scares and suspense, I could talk about horror movies forever. Ranging from ghost documentaries to psychological thrillers, I love analyzing the thematic elements and plot lines of movies. I am intrigued by my peers' ideas and analysis of the same movies and how we can produce different ideas from watching the same story.
