Jennah Helton – Georgia Nomination & Photography by Michelle Petteys @ Heritage Snapshots Issue 61 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Jennah's academic achievement, strong work ethic, leadership and dedication to her family make her an inspiring teen. This past summer, Jennah worked at the local zoo, assisting with a government funded program for the city, as a camp counselor for special needs children and young adults. This exposure, coupled with the raising of her five year old cousin that is exhibiting learning and behavior disabilities, has inspired Jennah to want to pursue a career as a children's behavioral therapist. In addition, Jennah still manages to be an amazing friend, helpful daughter and inspiration to us all.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I just wanted to go more in depth about how much I enjoyed the camp work over this past summer and how joyful and loving the campers were! There was such a love of life felt through each one of the Campers! It gave me such a feeling of purpose and never once felt like work.
What would you most like to talk about? I would like to focus on family and finding my true self through my high school years.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? About living each day to the fullest and with so much joy because life is too short to be anything but your best self. Stand up for yourself and others around you!
