If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be? If I had to present a topic to a group of peers it would be about the importance of reading. Reading brings me joy, new vocabulary, and to places I have never been.
What is your favorite book that you would recommend to someone else who also enjoys reading murder mystery books? My favorite book and one I would recommend to others to read is, “To Catch A Killer”.
How did you find and why did you choose Christine Lan Photography for your photographer? Christine has been photographing me since I was five in my first performance of the Nutcracker. She does amazing work and always makes me look my best.
What was your experience like? What did you love most about it? For this session my mom requested a Halloween session since this was my Halloween costume. Christine picked a beautiful old house downtown to shoot in front of. It was a lot of fun. My favorite part of the session was seeing what creative poses she came up with.
When did you start playing the violin and how much time do you spend practicing? Where is your favorite place to practice and why? I started playing violin a year and a half ago. I admittedly don’t practice as much as I should. I try to practice a couple times a week. I decided to play the violin so my brother and I would have something to do together. When I do practice it is at home with my brother. He has been playing for 6 years.
Do you have a favorite go to song when others ask you to play, and/or favorite song you like to play for yourself? One of my favorites songs played is, “Mary had a little lamb”. I think its one of my favorites because it reminds me of when my mom would sing it to me. What was your favorite performance like? My favorite Performance was fun and scary at the same time.

Tell us about your horseback riding. How long have you been doing it, how did you get started, and what do you love most about it? I have been riding for three years. I started during Covid. Being behind a computer all day was really bumming me out. I missed dancing in the studio, school, and life. My mom thought I would enjoy getting out of the house for this, she was right. My favorite part of riding is that I can build a bond with an animal so big, and get them to trust me and I trust them.
What do you find most rewarding about volunteering as a teacher's assistant at your dance studio? The thing I find most rewarding about volunteering as a teacher’s assistant is making an impact on kids and the dancing journey. I am also teaching them about something I love in hopes they will love it as much.
What do you wish non dancers knew about dancing? I wish they would know dancing is a lot harder than it looks, and it takes a lot of training and hard work.
What class will you be teaching in the near future and what has you most excited about? I will be teaching the 9-12 tap class in the future. I am most excited about them being close to my age and easy to teach. They also like a new challenge with new steps.
What has been your favorite accomplishment in dance? My favorite accomplishment in dance was going En Pointe. I love it!
