Nomination: Kaycee Dillon puts her mind to something and will try everything in her will power to not only achieve her goal but to excel. Kaycee is involved in cheetleading, and track and field at Oaklawn community high school. Outside of school she does Irish jig dancing, Gymnastics. and basketball. Kaycee has volunteered at Chicago Christian foundation and as well as The village of Oaklawn. Kaycee enjoys helping neighbors in her community if it's pulling weeds or taking an austic child on bike rides and helping him with daily tasks to choose better strategies. She does all this while maintaining a high grade point average at school. Helping others and herself achieve life goals is very important to her.
What would you most like to be interviewed about? I would like to be interviewed on my dedication to help others and myself and my dedication to thrive through learning and improving anything I set my mind to!
Tell us more about your dedication to helping others. How do you do so? I enjoy volunteer my town in my community I have been helping our villages arborist plant flowers at different parks through our community. I also am on the young jurors through the Cook County court helping teens who have gone through the court system trying to teach them life is good especially when we set goals.
What do you feel is your strongest leadership quality when helping others? Choosing the right goals and attitude
What do you love to learn about? I love to continuously learn how to make our society better place.
What are you working on improving now? I'm working side by side with a professional trainer to get my back handspring 100%.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I enjoy cooking again creating recipes are like learning new things daily. I enjoy being active and keeping physical fit. I love helping others to achieve goals. Sports are a big part of my everyday life. Volunteering makes me feel great satisfaction. My goals to become an attorney and attend a phenomenal law school will be achieved thru my great dedication and passion of my education. I’m always ready to learn new things and help no matter what. Physical fitness is important to my life to keep me healthy and full of w energy that I use often at school and helping others.
What are your favorite workout activities? What is your least, but you do it anyway? My favorite work out activities are gymnastics my least is, running cross country
Tell us about your sports careers. I currently am on the Oaklawn community high school cheerleading team, gymnastics and track and field. Outside I play basketball and Irish jig.
What made you decide to be an attorney? What are you doing now to work on the success of achieving this goal? I love debate. I want to help others. I am working with young jurors for cook county working side by side with a few attorneys volunteering.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be? Helping others would be my first topic. Helping families or kids with learning disabilities. I would show them my way of learning and thinking. I know with determination we can do anything we put our minds too. I would also tell them there would be a few bumps along the way trying, but try try until the outcome is what you set in your mind. Never give up!
Tell us about your photoshoot with Shawn Dillon in your cheerleading outfit. What was your experience like? What did you love most about it? Just wearing my cheer uniform is an honor.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be where you are today? Sky's the limit! Go for it/ work hard and success will wait at your door
Where do you see yourself in 5 years/what are your plans? In law school at Harvard University
What is your favorite activity or pastime that was not in your nomination? I have a passion for animals

Is there anything else you would like to tell us? I hope to inspire others - you can do what you put your mind set. Our minds are very powerful.
