Macey Roudebush – Ohio Nomination and Photography by Kendall Roudebush Photography Issue 59 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Macey is a big-hearted, outgoing, artistic senior from Cincinnati. She loves life, people, and all things whimsical and free. Macey loves to create using all sorts of mediums, especially sculpting beautiful things. It is that passion that has Macey planning to pursue a career in Anaplastology, a branch of medicine dealing with prosthetic rehabilitation. If you were to ask Macey what she plans to do with her one wild and precious life, she would share with you her desire to help others live life to its fullest potential; a life of joy, confidence, and awareness of their self-worth and beauty.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? An interesting fact about myself is that I have a heart for vintage things. My great-grandmother was an antique dealer. Perhaps it is the part of her I carry within me that has given me that love. Everything has a story to tell! I love retro fashion and shoes! Music is also a passion of mine. I am especially fond of music from the 80s!
What else would you most like to talk about? I would like to encourage people to use their personal gifts and strengths to benefit others and the world around them. We need each other!
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be? I truly believe in helping others and enriching the lives of others in any way I can. It is such a rewarding way to live. Therefore, I would talk to my peers about my endeavor to become an Anaplastologist. Anaplastology is an uncommon occupation that deals with the prosthetic rehabilitation of missing or disfigured anatomically critical parts of the face or body. Basically, it is the process of creating a new limb, eye, nose, ear, or whatever prosthetic is needed to enable a person to look as natural as possible.
