Max Stovern – Missouri Nomination by Aston Stovern Photography by Tracy Taylor Photography Issue 62 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Max Stovern of Webb City. He has faced a tough senior year breaking his wrist in the first five minutes of the first football game and then as soon as he got his cast off he sprained his knee. He did not miss one single practice. He has kept his GPA up which is currently 3.7 and works hard every day to get better. When he was out with his knee injury he still went to the gym every day after practice and worked as hard as he could. He loves football and he loves doing his best. He has been a true inspiration to me (his Mom) as well as many other athletes & students who see that he never gave up. Playoffs begin soon & he will be ready to go!!
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I have good drive & work ethic. I have never given up when things get tough. I have also stood up for kids getting bullied. I am hoping to get into the University of Arkansas to continue my education.
What would you most like to talk about in your interview? Going through multiple unexpected injuries & never giving up. Finding ways to work & play in my cast was hard. But, I succeeded & scored 3 touchdowns & rushed for 143 yards with my cast on! When I sprained my LCL I still continued to work even through the pain. Dedication is important to me.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? Respect, work ethic & responsibility. I hated watching fellow players disrespect coaches & teammates. I would like to talk about how respect & work ethic are our responsibility as student athletes.
Look for Max in issue 62 of Inspiring Teens Magazine!
