Mia Bonadonna – Missouri Nomination & Photography by Switch Focus Studios Issue 61 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination Revised by Mia: Hi, I am Mia Bonadonna!! I am a senior at Blue Springs South High School and here are some things about me. I come from a huge Italian family, so family means everything to me. I try to spend as much time with them as possible. My whole life has consisted of playing softball where I made countless memories and lifelong friendships. After high school I plan to attend a four year university to study nursing. I am super excited to see what my future has in store for me.
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I have had an IEP since third grade and throughout my years of school I have really challenged myself with taking higher level classes. I have not let my IEP stop me from reaching my goals in life.
What would you most like to talk about? My family. My family is my world. I am super close with my mom, dad, brother (Joemike), and sister (Sofia). I also have two dogs and they are the cutest things in the world. I have a huge extended family and I am super blessed to say I have amazing relationships with all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. They are all my best-friends and I know they will always have my back through thick and thin.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? I could talk about how everything happens for a reason in life. I have had many things happen to me in the past couple of years of high school that I just wish I knew why what happened, happened. My biggest advice to someone struggling like I did is, keep pushing because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
