What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I have a passion to make a positive impact on my community. Along with my inspirational and impactful projects mentioned in my nomination; I am also a volunteer host/reporter on a non-profit teen radio show, Express Yourself. A radio show which is about, by, and for teens. Teens are able to express themselves about the latest topics ranging from health, wellness, technology, climate, etc. I inspire and educate teens with the latest health and wellness topics all over the world.
What else would you most like to talk about? I would love to express the importance of mental health for all ages; especially teens. After the pandemic, it is even more essential to balance and keep our mental state healthy and happy. There are many ways to stay mentally healthy. The first three basic practices for better mental health are: eating healthy, consistent physical activity (yoga), and finding that positive mentor, friend, or family member who you can talk to when you feel the need. The motto that helps keep me mentally happy is to start everyday fresh and be the best version of yourself.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be and why? The topic I would love to rant about passionately is golf. My grandfather introduced me to golf when I was six. Once I fell in love with golf, I practiced daily. I watched the golf channel to learn from professionals and worked with coaches to help me improve. I have learned so much from my beloved sport, taking in wisdom and then turning around to share these lessons with my community. Golf lets me focus wholly on what I am trying to achieve and let distractions go. It helps me maintain patience and pushes me to learn from my failures.
