Nomination: Ravyn Williams began her love of art at age 6 and now at 14 her gift has exceedingly grown. Ravyn is an extremely inspiring teen. She's affectionate, creative, and extraordinarily talented. Ravyn inspires people through her art and especially with her love for animals. Her artwork is amazing, uplifting, and her attention to detail gives the images she creates life. Ravyn is an incredible artist with unbelievable work ethics. She's always focused and strives to always create her best. She has won various art contests, excels at everything she does, and has brought great joy to others through her art.

Tell us about your artwork and what you like to create. I like to create realistic art of animals. I like my artwork to look and feel alive. I enjoy creating portraits of dogs because I am a huge dog lover. I plan to get a Golden Retriever one day. I just love our family dogs, Grizzly & Bear. They are Rottweilers that are 7 months and 6 months, and they are both the cutest dogs ever.
What is a favorite piece you've created? My favorite drawing is of a brown and white Cocker Spaniel. I loved how I captured the wet nose and the glistening eyes.
What do you listen to while you create? I listen to Ruel and Arianna Grande when I am drawing. Music makes me happy and creates a happy environment while I’m doing my art.
What about your art do you hope inspires others? To know that you are not too young to follow your dreams and you can be an artist at any age.
What is a proud moment in your art? When I have won art competitions. I won 5th place in the district, and I received the Superintendent’s award last year. I received the outstanding artist award in the District Art show for my artwork “Big and Sweet Bulldog”, and my art was on display at UNT college of Visual Art and Design. I won 1st place in an art contest at school for two years in a row and received recognition at Young Artists Night.

What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I love make-up. It's another way for me to express my art on my face. I love using different colors and designs to express myself. Another inspiring thing is I love to bake and cook with my mom and Gammie. My favorite dessert is homemade cinnamon rolls and bread.
What styles of makeup do you like to do the most? I like to do natural everyday makeup and glam makeup for special occasions. I like bold colors. I do eye art in my free time, take pictures, and post to Instagram for fun.
Where do you get your makeup inspiration from? I get my make up inspiration from my older cousin Kailyn. She has been doing make up for years and I started watching her. Also, I get inspiration from a family friend Alana. She is a make up ambassador and has over 1000+ followers on Instagram. She’s good.
What is it about baking that you love the most? I love being able to create different desserts and its stress-free at the same time.

If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be? If I were to present a topic to a group of peers it would be about having high self-esteem and the importance of being confident in who you are, loving yourself, and not worrying about what others think of you.
How did you find and why did you choose Thomas Edward Photography for your photographer? I was downtown in Frisco taking birthday pictures with my mom, and we met Thomas. He was there taking pictures of his daughter. He asked my mom what was the occasion? She replied Its Ravyn’s 14th Birthday today. He asked if he could take a few birthday pictures as a gift to me and my mom said yes. It was a nice birthday surprise.
What was your experience like? What did you love most about it? It was very hot since we were outside. I was a little nervous at first, but then I became comfortable. I enjoyed taking the pictures.
What was your favorite thing you did this summer? My favorite thing I did early this Summer was visiting California to celebrate my Great Grandmother’s 100th birthday. We had a huge party for her with lots of family and friends. I also had fun going to Disneyland for the first time and seeing the Hollywood sign.
What are you most looking forward to this school year? I am looking forward to making good grades and making new friends. Also, I look forward to competitions with my choir, Bel Canto.

What is the hardest thing you have ever accomplished, and how did you do it? The hardest thing I ever had to accomplish was zip lining across a large lake and singing my first solo part in front of the school. I pretended no one was in the audience and I did it.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be where you are today? My advice is that you must put effort into art and try your hardest. Never give up.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years/what are your plans? I see myself in college studying Art and maybe traveling. I hope to have my first car by then.
What is your favorite activity or pastime that was not in your nomination? My favorite activity is spending time with family. Going to my uncle and aunt’s house to swim and spending time with their dogs Grizzly and Bear. Also, I like to get recipes off Pinterest and Instagram and try making them.
Do you have a hidden talent? What is it? Yes, singing and I love all genres. My favorite artist is Ruel, Arianna Grande, Harry Stiles, and Sia.
3 Things on your bucket list – Going to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, learn a new language probably French or Dutch (not sure yet what language yet), and to dye my hair gold.
Who do you find inspiring? I find my mother inspiring because she is hard working and has good work ethics. My mom tries her best to always have a positive outlook on things. She is always laughing. My mom is my role model.
What about you inspires others/why do you think you are inspiring? I think I inspire others by being good at Art. I am a nice person that make my friends and family feel loved. I’m easy to talk to and I’m a good listener.
