Reagan Buffa – Pennsylvania Nomination by Caryl Buffa Photography by Regina Gutierrez Photography Issue 58 of Inspiring Teens Magazine
Nomination: Reagan Buffa is inspiration every day. Sometime this year she suffered a spinal fracture, but it was months later that it was realized. This was due to her positive attitude of not giving up or giving in. Though suffering she participated in her school dance team, dance company, dance classes and school. No one knew the pain and hardship she endured because she always faced each day with a smile on her face. Even once diagnosed her positivity looked towards when she could dance again. Between her positive attitude and willingness to do her best she is a daily inspiration. What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover? I love sharing knowledge with people, whether it is helping a friend in class or teaching a younger dancer a move. I assist dance classes of younger ages and I help children grow in their dance journey. I love that I can be viewed as this positive role model in their life, and I take pride in knowing that I help someone learn to love dance, the same way I was taught.
What would you like to talk about? Probably my love for teaching dance and my dance journey. I have worked hard to get where I am, and I would be happy to share my experience.
If you were to present a topic to a group of your peers, what would it be? If I had the opportunity, I would probably talk about how important it is to take a step back and reflect on your emotions. Covid hit as I was wrapping up my freshman year of high school, and now suddenly I am about to graduate in a year. Being able to talk about how I felt during these difficult years was a way I was able to get through it, and I feel like other teenagers with similar experiences could relate.
